At Ninth Street Dance, our emphasis is on teaching dance and having fun. Thus, we do not participate in competitions nor stage elaborate recitals, and there are no additional fees to those listed below.

Parents of young children are asked not to remain in the studio during class. We do, however, have windows for viewing classes in progress, and parents are invited into the studio at times for informal showings.

Parent/Child Dance (2-3 yrs.)

Through movement games, stories and songs, parents (or caregivers) and their little ones will have a chance to learn more about their bodies and explore their relationship from the fun perspective of dance.

Discovering Movement (3-6 yrs.) Discovering Movement

In this class, children will explore the basics of creative dance (shape, form, musicality) interspersed with age-appropriate pre-ballet exercises.

Children's Ballet (6 yrs and up)

The beginning-level class, for 6-8 year olds, introduces children to the basics of ballet in a low-key and fun atmosphere.  The mixed-level class is open to children 9 and up, as well as teens and adults, and is appropriate for serious students with some ballet experience; class is designed to bring greater focus to physical transformation in ballet training, including turnout and core training, with a substantial reduction in strain and injury.

Dance like your favorite pop stars! In this high-energy, age-appropriate class, kids will learn fun hip-hop techniques and combinations, danced to their favorite music.

Ninth Street Dance partners with Jammin' Baby, LLC for

Music Together® classes

For children from birth through age five and their parent, grandparent or caregiver, this class provides a fun, mixed-age music experience. Children will participate at their own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, making up verses, and exploring musical instruments. The class provides a variety of adult-child activities that are fun and offer new ways to explore music at home.
